Revive Church Update

1. Church at Home
Last month we asked for prayer for an indoor location and the Lord placed on our hearts to begin meeting in our home. Since then, we've had three meetings and we are watching the community grow in relationship and in numbers. Each Sunday we gather together for fellowship, food, and to study through the Gospel of John. We're looking forward to watching what God does through this amazing community!

2. Revive Kids
We've mentioned before how many young families attend Revive Church and with families, come lots of kids! We are so encouraged by the kids ministry that is taking place each Sunday. As of now, we have kids ages 0-5 in kids ministry, and kids ages 6-11 attending main service. Our kids ministry has been developing so quickly and our leaders are regularly brainstorming ways to engage each and every one of them with the love of Jesus. 


3. Plant vs Launch
One thing we've realized is how we have been using language that is contradictory. On one note, we are planting a church. On another, we are launching a church. There is a big difference between a plant and a launch. To plant something is to place a seed in fertile soil, water it and place it in the sun. To launch is to  plan, strategize, build, then countdown to a launch. So which is it? We believe that the Lord is leading us to plant Revive Church. Paul says in 1 Cor 3:6-7, "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. 7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase." We have watched the Lord bless Revive Church as we have taken small steps of obedience, and we are committed to planting and watering as the Lord provides the increase. 
 
 

Praise Report

One huge praise report is how the Lord brought an amazing couple with a heart for kids ministry to Revive Church. Lyndsie and Tyler moved to McKinney a few months ago. We were blown away by how much we had in common theologically and missionally. Lyndsie brings a ton of kids ministry and church plant experience which has been invaluable to our kids, parents and leadership team! Our kids have been blessed by crafts and curriculum that aligns with our Sunday teaching through the Gospel of John. Our parents have received articles which help them talk about our Sunday topics with their children, and we're just getting started! Thank you Tyler, Lyndsie and our entire team for stepping up to the plate and serving our Revive Church families!
 

Prayer Request

We'd like to ask for you to please continue praying for a location for our church to meet. Right now we are meeting in our home, and although we love the environment, we recognize that we may outgrow it in the coming months. We are currently reaching out to several event centers, schools and chapels to find the perfect location for our growing community. Thank you for committing to pray for Revive Church. We believe that God will continue to meet all of our needs as we trust in His will and timing!
